We have to agree! Dan and Blair had great chemistry leading up to the mid-season finale and we totally think it’s time he moved on from Serena (Blake Lively). Do you?
I am so excited for them to get together!!! They are sooo good for each other! Since the VERY beginning. When Dan helped Blair with her problems with her mother, I have known that they were destined for each other…and Blair needs someone who will treat her right and Dan needs someone who is on his “level” and has the capacity for commitment. When they finally let their hearts open to each other, the fire is gonna BLAZE, and even if it doesn’t last forever, it’ll definitely be interesting. Anyway, they have a lot in common and really suit each other

This is how it should have been from the very beginning! I guess the unthinkable can happen in Gossip Girl—- They fucked all of themselves already. LOL! Almost a full circle. I was rummaging over for Dan and Blair’s photo, I guess I wasn’t just the one keeping list of who fucked who.

GOSSIP GIRL FILMS AT THE MUCH-TALKED-ABOUT THEATER EXPERIENCE “SLEEP NO MORE” - Several of our favorite Upper East Siders attend a performance of Punchdrunk’s provocative theater experience, “Sleep No More,” which translates to masks, anonymity and some surprising romantic twists by the end of the evening. Meanwhile, Diana (guest star Elizabeth Hurley) sets her sights on Serena (Blake Lively) in her quest to ruin Gossip Girl. Dan (Penn Badgley) is out on his book tour, but things aren’t exactly as they appear to his friends and family. Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Kaylee DeFer, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star. Andy Wolk directed the episode written by Dan Steele (#507).

Amidst the fourth season, the romance between Dan and Blair became a polarizing topic among viewers which also drew significant media interest. Jarett Wieselman of the New York Post applauded the development, feeling that Blair had ”more chemistry” with Dan than with Chuck. New York magazine’s Chris Rovzar called Blair and Dan’s story line “believable”, citing their common ground in education and taste.
Meester also expressed fondness for Dan and Blair, however, stating, “I think they’re good for each other in a lot of ways, in a way that Chuck and Blair aren’t.”
Producers initially noticed chemistry between Blair and Dan in the Season 1 episode “Bad News Blair”. According to producer Joshua Safran, the creators planned to revisit their relationship once the timing was right. Safran also stated that the outcome wasn’t necessarily decided ahead of time. “One thing we are very conscious of—and I know some fans get upset about this—is we really try to treat the characters as living, breathing, well-rounded individuals. And we’re often surprised by where their journeys take them; they open new doors for us all the time.”
